The Sigma 85mm f/1.2 DG Art for Sony E mount is a large-aperture medium-telephoto prime lens under development for full-frame mirrorless cameras, which is scheduled for launch in September 2026.
It brings a fast f/1.2 aperture along with Sigma’s latest-generation optical design that is able to deliver exceptional resolution even at maximum aperture, supporting portrait and selective focus subjects with pronounced depth-of-field characteristics.
The lens includes a compact, lightweight form and fast, dual High-response Linear Actuator (HLA) autofocus system, and is aimed at professional and advanced photographers who rely on high resolution and reliable autofocus performance for their Sony E camera.
With this addition, Sigma’s full-frame F1.2 Art prime lineup now spans the 35mm, 50mm and 85mm focal lengths, offering a complete trio of extremely bright, shallow-depth of field lenses for mirrorless creators.
The development lens will be exhibited at the Sigma booth during CP+ 2026.
