Panasonic Lumix L10 Compact Camera Black Summary
The Panasonic Lumix L10 Compact Camera Black is a premium fixed lens compact camera created to mark 25 years of Lumix. Combining a 20.4MP Four Thirds sensor with a Leica 24-75mm F1.7-2.8 lens, it brings together fast aperture performance, direct physical controls and advanced video recording in a body weighing approximately 508g. The compact layout includes an aperture ring, control ring and Fn switch for quick manual adjustment while shooting.
A 5.6K 60p recording mode and uncropped 4K 120p support modern hybrid workflows, while the multi-aspect sensor maintains the same angle of view across multiple aspect ratios for more flexible framing. Panasonic also includes REAL TIME LUT support, AI-based subject recognition autofocus, a free-angle monitor and vertically optimised interface options for stills, video and social-first content creation.
Panasonic Lumix L10 Compact Camera In more detail
Celebrating 25 Years of Lumix
The L10 launches as part of the 25th anniversary of Lumix and introduces a new premium fixed lens compact camera format within the range. The camera combines a metal exterior, magnesium alloy front case and saffiano leather-textured finish in a compact body weighing approximately 508g including battery and memory card. Panasonic developed the camera in Osaka, Japan with a focus on intuitive handling and direct physical operation.
Leica DC Vario-Summilux Lens
An integrated Leica DC Vario-Summilux 24-75mm equivalent lens provides coverage from wide-angle to short telephoto perspectives. The lens features a bright F1.7-2.8 aperture range for low-light shooting and shallow depth of field effects across the zoom range. Panasonic also includes a manual aperture ring and metal lens barrel construction for tactile operation while shooting. AF Macro shooting is available from as close as 3cm at the wide end.
20.4MP Four Thirds Sensor
The camera uses a 4/3-type back-illuminated CMOS sensor with an effective resolution of 20.4MP alongside Panasonic’s latest generation image processing engine. Panasonic states that Dynamic Range Boost enhances tonal richness and shadow detail for still photography. The sensor also supports multi-aspect shooting, maintaining a consistent angle of view across 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 aspect ratios.
Phase Hybrid AF
Phase Hybrid AF uses 779 focus points with AI-based subject recognition for eyes, faces, bodies, animals, vehicles and urban sports scenes. Continuous shooting reaches up to 30fps with the electronic shutter or approximately 11fps with the mechanical shutter. Panasonic also includes optical image stabilisation and POWER O.I.S. support for handheld shooting in lower light conditions and close-up photography.
5.6K Video Recording
The L10 records video at up to 5.6K 60p and supports 4K 120p high frame rate recording without crop. Panasonic also includes MP4 (Lite) recording for short-form content and faster sharing workflows. The free-angle rear monitor and vertically optimised interface support both horizontal and vertical video capture.
REAL TIME LUT
REAL TIME LUT allows custom LUTs to be loaded directly into the camera and previewed while shooting. Up to two LUTs can be layered simultaneously. Panasonic also introduces two new Photo Styles called L.Classic and L.ClassicGold, alongside Magic LUT support through the LUMIX Lab app using AI-based colour analysis from reference images.
OLED Viewfinder
A 2.36-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and 1.84-million-dot free-angle rear monitor provide flexible framing for stills and video. Both displays support Panasonic’s vertically optimised interface layout for portrait orientation shooting. The camera also supports high-speed transfer and editing through the LUMIX Lab smartphone app.
