The Leica M11-P Safari brings a unique look to one of the world’s most capable digital rangefinders. The camera is based on the regular M11-P Black, but this Safari edition distinguishes itself with a rugged olive-green paint finish and silver controls, which is an aesthetic associated with heritage field-ready cameras. The brass top and base plates are lacquered in a distinctive green colour, and the body is finished in a textured leatherette with a deleted red logo and an engraved Leica script on the top plate, giving the camera a stealthy modern appeal.

Functionally the  M11-P Safari edition shares the same internals as the original M11-P, offering a full-frame 60.3MP BSI CMOS sensor with Triple Resolution Technology for RAW capture in 60MP, 36MP, or 18MP DNG. The processor is the high-speed Maestro III engine for superior image quality and operating responsiveness. It includes 256GB of built-in internal memory, an electronic shutter up to 1/16,000 sec, and compatibility with Leica’s customised Content Credentials system for authenticated image capture.

With a quiet mechanical shutter, deleted red dot logo, and the signature M-Series optical rangefinder experience, this M11-P version keeps all of the performance of the black and silver variants, with a new finish that stands out from the crowd while still staying true to classic Leica tradition.

Leica continued its tradition of innovation with the M11-P, introducing groundbreaking content authentication technology. The M11-P leads the way by implementing encrypted metadata in alignment with the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI). This innovation offers an extra layer of transparency regarding the origin and alterations made to an image file, enhancing awareness of the file's history and integrity.

Utilising Leica Content Credentials, every image you capture is equipped with a digital signature supported by a CAI-compliant certificate. Stylish, elegant and iconic

The Leica M11-P Safari enhances regular M series characteristics through distinct design elements. It omits the iconic red Leica dot, adds the signature Leica script on the top plate, and features unique green brass top and base plates with matching leatherette wrap.

This camera is also available with signature metallic finish, in the M11-P Camera Silver Finish.

Streamlined mobile workflow

Enjoy seamless connectivity with the Leica M11-P and effortlessly transfer images to the Leica FOTOS app through Bluetooth or the USB-C port. Tethering in USB mode

The Tethering in USB mode menu option enables tethered photography using a USB cable, in conjunction with the Capture One Pro™ and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom™ photography applications (Plugins required and available on the Leica corporate website).

Extended functionality and improvements

With this generation Leica has introduced a number of further upgrades and enhancement, including:

• The Touch Mode is now selectable: On, Off, LV Off
• The camera shutter will now be closed during a lens change
• Faster connection to Leica FOTOS
• The remote control function for the camera via Leica FOTOS was accelerated significantly
• Leica M11-P only: Images can now be signed with content copyright verification (Leica Content Credentials)
• Leica M11 and Leica M11-P only: New function Extended Dynamic Range for the optimisation of shadows and highlights
• The function Self-timer is a standalone menu item and can therefore be combined with the modes Single and Exposure Bracketing
