DJI Mavic 4 Pro in More Detail

Triple-Camera Imaging System to Capture Every Perspective

The DJI Mavic 4 Pro features a professional triple-camera system that handles a wide range of shooting environments, from broad panoramic landscapes to long-range close-ups. Each camera uses Dual Native ISO Fusion to combine the advantages of high and low ISO, producing clean, detailed results with reduced noise.

The system also supports RAW stacking of up to five frames, with creative tools including Free Panoramas and Subject Focusing across all three cameras.

Main Camera 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad

  • 28mm equivalent focal length
  • 100MP resolution
  • f/2.0–f/11 adjustable aperture
  • Records 6K/60fps HDR video

The main Hasselblad camera includes a newly developed 100MP MFT sensor, which features Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) for accurate, vibrant colours. Its redesigned lens delivers high levels of sharpness across the frame, and the adjustable aperture supports a variety of lighting conditions, with the ability to produce starburst effects at narrower stops.

Medium Telephoto Camera 1/1.3" CMOS

  • 70mm equivalent focal length
  • 48MP resolution
  • f/2.8 aperture
  • Records 4K/60fps HDR video

The medium telephoto camera uses a new image processing engine to improve clarity and tonal range. The 70mm focal length is well suited to aerial portraits, vehicle follows, and slightly compressed perspectives that can separate the subject from the background.

Telephoto Camera 1/1.5" CMOS

  • 168mm equivalent focal length
  • 50MP resolution
  • f/2.8 aperture
  • Records 4K/60fps HDR video

The telephoto camera combines a 50MP sensor with an optimised gimbal algorithm to ensure stable, sharp results even from long distances. Its extensive reach flattens perspective for clean separation between subjects and backgrounds, and it works with Subject Focusing and Free Panorama modes to deliver detailed wider, or more zoomed-in results.

Professional Video Performance

Details

Notes

6K/60fps HDR Video

All three cameras support 4K/60fps HDR video. The main Hasselblad camera goes further with 6K/60fps HDR recording and dynamic range up to 16 stops[5].

The medium telephoto and telephoto cameras offer dynamic ranges of 14 stops and 13 stops respectively.

4K/120fps Slow Motion

The main Hasselblad and medium telephoto cameras support 4K/120fps video. The telephoto camera records at 4K/100fps[6].

High frame rates at full resolution offer more creative control for slow-motion content such as portraiture, action, and wildlife.

10-bit D-Log & All-I 4:2:2

All three cameras record in 10-bit D-Log, D-Log M, and HLG formats for consistent colour across your footage.

The 512GB Creator Combo version supports 10-bit 4:2:2 recording using All-I encoding for improved colour depth and editing flexibility.

New Infinity Gimbal for Creative Motion Control

The Mavic 4 Pro features DJI’s new Infinity Gimbal, which provides new creative perspectives with smooth, stable 360º control. This innovative system supports full 360° rotation [7], giving you the freedom to capture dramatic angles and complex aerial movements with ease, with no need for digital cropping or post-stabilisation.

With the addition of 70° upward tilt, the gimbal allows you to frame buildings, cliff faces, or mountains from bold, upward-facing angles that are difficult to achieve with regular camera gimbals. This opens up yet more creative options for architectural, urban, or landscape content.

Flight Performance Where Vision Meets Control

ActiveTrack 360° [8] has been upgraded for Cinematic Accuracy with significant improvements in the Mavic 4 Pro, which is now capable of operating in low light, including twilight or illuminated urban environments [1]. It can maintain focus even when the subject is partially obscured, such as behind bushes or on a bridge, and it now tracks vehicles from up to 200 metres [9] with enhanced directional awareness. These upgrades enable more complex tracking shots with stable, cinematic precision for both people and cars.

0.1-Lux Nightscape Omnidirectional Vision [1]

A series of six fisheye sensors with 0.1 lux sensitivity, paired with dual processors, powers omnidirectional obstacle sensing in very low light. The system supports safe navigation at speeds up to 18 m/s under streetlights or dim ambient lighting.

In near-total darkness (below 0.1 lux), forward-facing LiDAR continues to detect and avoid obstacles, enabling safer flights through challenging spaces like narrow streets or canyons, even where there is no reliable GPS signal.

Obstacle Avoidance and RTH Safety

0.1-Lux Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing

Nighttime RTH

Non-GPS RTH

Provides robust safety for night photography, allowing confident flight in low-light conditions.

Uses forward-facing LiDAR to detect obstacles such as buildings, climbing to avoid collisions during return flights[10].

Relies on real-time visual positioning and map reconstruction to safely return when GPS is unavailable, including balcony take-offs[11].

Fly Longer and Stay Connected

The DJI Mavic 4 Pro delivers up to 51 minutes of flight time [2], thanks to its aerodynamic design, power-efficient propulsion system, and updated 95Wh battery. With top speeds of up to 90kph and a maximum range of 41km (25.4 miles), you can comfortably shoot time-lapses, practice complex flight paths, or capture panoramas without needing to rush. The extended flight time supports a more relaxed and flexible workflow across a wide range of situations.

Flight Range Comparison:

  • DJI Mavic 4 Pro: 41 km
  • DJI Air 3S: 32 km
  • DJI Mavic 3 Pro: 28 km

DJI O4+ Reliable 10-bit HDR Video Transmission

The Mavic 4 Pro uses DJI’s O4+ video transmission system to deliver ultra-stable 10-bit HDR video over distances up to 30km (18.6 miles) [3]. The next-generation transmission system reduces dropouts in signal-heavy environments like urban areas, while being optimised for flying multiple drones simultaneously with minimal interference.

Quick to Deploy and Easy to Use

Unfold to Power On

Remote Controller Ready in Seconds

Simply unfold the Mavic 4 Pro to power it on. It includes flight path memory and updates the home point automatically, even without GPS [10].

The DJI RC Pro 2 from the Creator Combo (DJI RC Pro 2) powers on when unfolded, letting you begin flying and filming with minimal setup.

Efficient Parallel Charging

When using DJI Mavic 240W Power Adapter [4], the Mavic 4 Pro Parallel Charging Hub fully charges a single battery in as little as 51 minutes. It can also charge three batteries simultaneously via the Mini SDC port. The hub increases efficiency by first charging the battery with the lowest power. Once all three reach the same level, it switches to parallel mode to complete the charge, fully powering all three in just 90 minutes [12].

The hub also functions as a 100W power bank, drawing on stored battery power to charge your phone or laptop on location. A built-in power accumulation feature lets you transfer charge from multiple low-power batteries to one with the most remaining energy [13], which is ideal for situations where mains access is limited.

Notes:

  1. Conditions for enabling nightscape omnidirectional obstacle sensing: The drone's front, back, left, right, or top sides are within range of surfaces with discernible textures with illuminance that exceeds 0.1 lux. Similarly, the ground below is textured and diffusely reflective with a reflectivity above 20% (such as walls, trees, or people), also in lighting conditions with illuminance higher than 0.1 lux. DO NOT fly in severe weather conditions, such as in strong winds (wind speed of 12 m/s or more), snow, rain, lightning, or fog. DO NOT fly the aircraft 6,000m (19,685ft.) or higher above sea level. DO NOT fly the aircraft in environments where the temperature is below -10° C (14° F) or above 40° C (104° F). DO NOT take off from moving objects, such as cars or boats. DO NOT fly close to reflective surfaces such as water or snow. Otherwise, the vision system may be limited. When the GNSS signal is weak, fly the aircraft in environments with good lighting and visibility: The drone's front, back, left, right, or top sides are within range of surfaces with discernible textures with illuminance that exceeds 10 lux. Similarly, the ground below is textured and diffusely reflective with a reflectivity above 20%, also in lighting conditions with illuminance higher than 10 lux. The vision system may not work properly in dim environments. DO NOT fly near areas with magnetic or radio interference. Common magnetic or radio interference sources include Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, Bluetooth devices, high-voltage lines, large-scale power transmission stations, radar stations, mobile base stations, and broadcasting towers. Avoid sand entering the aircraft when taking off in desert or beach areas. Fly the aircraft in open areas away from crowds. Buildings, mountains, and trees may block the GNSS signal and affect the onboard compass.
  2. Measured by the aircraft flying forward at a constant speed of 9 m/s (32.4 kph) in a windless environment at sea level, with Obstacle Avoidance Action set to Brake, in photo mode, and from 100% battery level until 0%. Data is for reference only. Always pay attention to reminders in the app during your flight.
  3. Measured in an outdoor, open environment, without interference, and with FCC compliance. The 30 km transmission distance is only achievable under FCC standards; in mainland China, the SRRC standard is adopted, with a maximum transmission distance of 15 km. The above data shows the farthest communication range for one-way, non-return flights. Always pay attention to reminders in the app during your flight.
  4. Accessory included with the Creator Combo. Not included with the standalone version or the Fly More Combo.
  5. Measured with slope-based DR calculation in D-Log mode, excluding slow-motion and cropped vertical video recording.
  6. 4K/120fps and 4K/100fps video is only supported in Slow-Motion mode.
  7. The gimbal's range of motion may vary based on the angles of each axis, wind speed, and flight speed. Please refer to the actual operation experience and pay attention to the reminders in the DJI Fly app.
  8. The tele camera only supports Spotlight mode in FocusTrack.
  9. The 200-meter range is a theoretical value derived from a tracked subject occupying at least 5% of the frame. This is for reference only and may vary based on your usage experience.
  10. If the drone reaches its altitude limit while ascending around obstacles, it will hover at that height.
  11. Conditions for memorising flight paths: The drone's front, back, left, right, or top sides are within range of surfaces with discernible textures with illuminance that exceeds 10 lux. Similarly, the ground below is textured and diffusely reflective with a reflectivity above 20% (such as walls, trees, or people), also in lighting conditions with illuminance higher than 10 lux. If the drone is taking off from a balcony, ensure the usable space is at least 2 meters by 2 meters, and the height above ground is less than 30 meters to ensure a safe return to home.
  12. Charging time is measured in a test environment with a temperature of 25° C. Actual charging time may increase due to higher ambient temperatures or variations in mains voltage between regions.
  13. DO NOT connect the charger, connect external devices, or insert/remove any batteries during power accumulation.
