The SmallRig Heavy-Duty Fluid Head Tripod Kit AD-01S 4686 is a video tripod that supports cameras and accessories, which weigh up to 4kg when the centre of gravity height is set to 55mm. The fluid head uses a preset counterweight system and smooth pan movement to keep the camera balanced, which helps when adjusting framing or tracking subjects.
SmallRig has developed a new snap-lock quick-release holder, which is faster to use than a traditional slide-in plate. It is compatible with both the Manfrotto 501PL plate and the DJI RS series quick-release plate, enabling users to switch easily between stabiliser work and tripod shooting.
The pan handle can be fitted on either side, and the head includes two anti-twist 1/4”-20 threaded holes for accessories such as a magic arm or monitor. An integrated tool is built into the head for attaching or releasing the camera.
The tripod legs use aluminium alloy and feature a rotating foot-pad design that allows users to switch between anti-slip feet and spiked feet depending on the surface. The kit also includes a smartphone holder, Allen key and a padded storage bag for transport and protection.
