Macro and close-up photography is one of the most engaging subjects which can be enjoyed from virtually anywhere, which makes it extremely popular. This Commander Kit R1C1 from Nikon is a complete wireless macro lighting kit with everything you need to light close-up subjects. Whilst not essential to use artificial lighting when making images of flowers, insects and other subjects, having lights can help to increase aperture for depth of field as well as shutter speed to ensure everything is sharp.

This Wireless Speedlight system kit enables fully automatic Close-up photographic exposures. The kit comprises of two SB-R200 Remote units attached to the lens and a SU-800 Commander unit attached to the cameras i-TTL metering system.

All exposure and triggering communication is carried out using infra red wireless communication. The kit includes adaptors for frontal lighting, filters, and adaptor rings for the most popular Nikon lenses filter screw threads.

This set-up will work with F-mount DSLR lenses such as the AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED as well as the latest mirrorless macro lenses Nikkor Z MC 50mm f/2.8 and Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S.

Additional SB-R200 units or other Nikon flashguns can also be controlled by the SU-800 to offer the ultimate Creative Lighting System flexibility either indoors or in the field.
