The larger sized Lowepro Whistler BP 450 AW II Backpack Grey has been updated to include 75% recycled materials and is now manufactured using eco-conscious processes to reduce emissions. Despite this the backpack still endures extreme conditions and holds professional gripped camera gear, lenses, 15-inch laptop and essential accessories. The Whistler BP 450 AW II is a true 4-season technical pack with ample space for photo, video, drones, gimbals, and essential outdoor gear.
It provides outstanding access with hinged, body-side access and lots of pocket and strap attachments. Extra-protective build-quality protects against snow, rain, dust, sand, and wet gear, while a rigid internal structure supports attachment of heavy and long skis, poles, tripods, axes and other equipment.

The Whistler range is an all-season backpack, which was born on the mountainside, designed and tested by professional photographers including Whistler shooter Paul Morrison, in the extreme conditions of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, Canada.

- Top pocket designed with a high-visibility orange interior; key leash included inside zippered pocket
- A camera with a mounted long lens can easily be loaded through the top access. Folding dividers configure vertically or horizontally for to fit different types and shapes of gear.
- Attach heavy gear like skis, ice tools, or professional-sized tripods to the sides and still have access to main compartment.
- Multiple attachment points make it easy to expand capacity and add trekking poles, snowboard or other alpine essentials.

The Whistler green line officially marks the Lowepro commitment to a more sustainable future and shows how they are progressing towards this goal with these environmentally friendly backpacks, as well as bag accessories, organisers and equipment pouches.
- Textilesare made with reduced CO2, using recycled polyester from post-consumer recycled bottles, which saves 50% CO2 emissions, while recycled nylon gives industrial waste a second life.
- Packagingis now made with 100% FSC-certified hangtags and 100% recycled polybags. Recycled LDPE is used for polybags to reduce carbon emissions and virgin petroleum. All hangtags are made from responsibly sourced paper.
- A refined manufacturing processresults in -80% less water consumption, using solution dyeing. This involves dyeing fibres before they’re woven into yarn, to reduce consumption of water, energy and chemicals.
The green line score is calculated following the GRI 301-2 standard, measuring the weight of recycled yarn compared to the total yarn. Lowepro measure their solution dye percent by weight using the same method to calculate the green line score.
