Fujifilm’s latest lens for mirrorless X cameras arrives in the form of this super-compact Fujifilm XF 8mm f/3.5 R WR Lens. The compact prime offers a full-frame equivalent ultra wide focal width of 12mm, which is ideal for architecture, landscapes and vlogging, where you can fit more of everything into the frame. It’s also the widest from the lineup of Fujifilm’s XF lenses at the time of launch, with a 121º viewing angle diagonally and 112º horizontally.
The mirrorless Fujifilm lens weighs a mere 215g, yet includes a weather resistant design and compact 62mm filter thread. When recoding movies the lens is optimised to show minimal focus breathing and a lens hood is included to help reduce incidental light and maintain contrast.
